Bio

Micha Reed has been named the Assistant Coach for Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track & Field. With the Tigers, his concentration will be with the middle-distance and distance runners.

A native of Decatur, Illinois, Micha is completing his master's degree at Converse University as a Graduate Assistant in which he has worked with the 400m and distance runners.  He graduated from NJCAA member Indian Hills Community College in 2021 with an associate's degree. While at Indian Hills, Reed was an NJCAA National Qualifier in the 600m, 800m, 4x800m, and 4x400m and placed 3rd in the NJCAA, earning All-American honors in the 4x800m.

Before starting at Converse, Micha attended the University of Louisiana-Lafayette for a year and then graduated from Troy University with a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies with minors in Business, Psychology, and Human Athletic Performance.

Micha placed 5th in the Indoor Sun Belt Conference 800m in 2022 and was named to the 2022 Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll and Ragin Cajun Student-Athlete Honor Roll awards.
