
Tigers Extend Win Steak to Six After Road Win Last Night
Andalusia, AL. – The MMI men's basketball team extended their win streak to six games as they defeated the Saints of Lurleen B. Wallace CC yesterday to improve to 10-4 in ACCC play: currently 3rd in conference standings.
Kamari Slaughter led Marion in scoring (27 points), rebounds (8), and steals (5). Jaquavious Wallace once again made a strong contribution off the bench with 19 points and five rebounds. Raylan Barrion dished out a team high nine assists with 10 points; Darrin Thompson Jr. added 15 points.
Also scoring for the Tigers was Katayvon Jefferies (7), Jacob Cooper (6), and Malik Owens (2).
Marion will travel to Reid State Technical College Thursday, February 20, before wrapping up the regular season next Monday, February 24, at home against Reid State. Tip-off for Monday's game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
