Burroughs 32 points not enough; Tigers Fall at Home

Marion, AL. – After trailing by six points at halftime, the MMI Tigers had their final basket of regulation waived off (basket interference), giving the Saints of Lurleen B. Wallace CC the 81-79 victory Monday evening.  The loss dropped MMI to 8-4 overall, 3-2 in the ACCC.

Quandre Burroughs led Marion with 32 points.  Eli Elston added 10 points with eight rebounds.  Anthony Bryant grabbed a team high 10 rebounds while adding eight points.  Also scoring for the Tigers was Isaiah Green (9), Elijah Marsh (6), Tyrone Wright (5), Marselis Jones (5), and Myles McClain (4).

MMI will travel to Selma, Alabama this Thursday, January 12, to face the Patriots of Wallace Community College in another ACCC South match-up.  Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
