Tigers Finish 1st Semester with a Win
Meridian, MS. - The Meridian Community College Eagles held a slim two-point lead at halftime Saturday afternoon, but were outscored by twelve in the second half to give the visitors from Marion Military Institute their eleventh victory of the season, 75-65.
Ronnie Baylark led Marion with 22 points on seven-for-fifteen shooting. He also dished out four assists and grabbed five rebounds. Christian Bradford finished with 13 points after getting into foul trouble in the first half. Neiman Dunams contributed 11 points for Marion, now 11-3 on the season.
Miles Perdue added seven points while teammate Quamauri Hardy added seven points, a team-high six rebounds, and three steals. Charles Tripp and Dotson Griffin each scored four points. Tyquarious Arnold and Mike Nobles rounded out the scoring with three points apiece.
Marion will return to action on January 12, 2016 when they face ACCC North Conference foe Southern Union State Community College at home. Tip-off for that game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the William R. Ireland Athletic Center.
