
NJCAA National Tournament - School Records, PR's & an All-American
Hutchinson, Kansas – The MMI men's and women's track and field outdoor season concluded this past weekend at the NJCAA National Championships with school records broken, personal bests and an All-American in the women's triple jump. The women's team finished with a program best 26th place finish.
Raina Massey competed in the Hammer Throw (33.76m) with a 21st place finish and the discus (34.86m) with an 18th place finish to round out her sophomore season.
The 4x100m relay team of Sirinity Glasper, Shanaya Hinton, Courtney Teesdale, and Kiliyah Taylor did not make the final race, but broke a school record with a 49.17 finish.
Robert Estabrook, the men's only national qualifier, put together a series of promising throws in the javelin, breaking the 50m barrier multiple times at a meet for the first time this season. His longest mark of 51.04m earned him 16th place.
Shanaya Hinton, freshman triple jumper who earned an All-American medal at the NJCAA Indoor National Championships, finished 4th with a jump of 12.09m; not only a school record and personal best but put her on the podium with another NJCAA All-American Medal.
