Women's XC Finish 7th at Warhawk Invitational

Danville, AL. – The MMI women's cross-country team finished 7th at the Warhawk Invitational, hosted by Calhoun Community College with five out of seven women running season best performances. 

Kristalyn Steadman once again paced the Lady Tigers with a 22:12 finish in the 5k race.  Sipriana Hill was the second MMI runner to cross the finish line at 22:41. She was followed by Gloria Morrow (23:30), Amelia Ansbro (24:02), Jakiyia Sealey (24:42), Kiliyah Taylor (28:13), and Phoebe Rominger (30:39).  "All of our runners really came out and performed well today," said head coach Chad Balentine.  "Now we look to take this momentum unto the post season, with Conference/Regionals up next in two weeks and Nationals less than a month away."

The Lady Tigers will compete at the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) Meet Friday, October 27.  That meet will be held at the John Hunt Cross Country Park in Huntsville, Alabama.
