Women’s Tennis Ranked 14th in Oracle/ITA Preseason Poll

Tempe, AZ—The Oracle/ITA JUCO National Women's Team Preseason Rankings are out, and the Lady Tigers have garnered some preseason buzz and love from the pollsters.  The Marion Military Institute Lady Tigers sit at #14 in the preseason poll.

The stalwart singles play of sophomore Ksenia Vasilyev and the formidable doubles play of freshmen Anna Waller and Kitty Greenwalt catapulted the Lady Tigers to the #14 spot.  Vasilyev spanked her way to the 2019 Alabama Community College Conference MVP Award in singles, and Waller and Greenwalt teamed up to win the ITA Southern Regional Doubles Championship in the fall.

The rest of the roster for the Lady Tigers includes sophomores Gianna Azzaro and Shandreika Crocker and freshmen Kathryn Risner and Catherine Taylor.

ASA Miami, Tyler Junior College (TX), Hillsborough Community College (FL), Broward College (FL), and Cowley County Community College (KS) claimed spots in the top five.
