Lady Tigers Double Up Lady Sun Chiefs, 6-3, to Conclude Fall Season

Marion, AL—The Marion Military Institute Lady Tigers blasted their way to a pair of 8-2 doubles wins and stormed to wins at singles flights 1 through 4 to end the fall season on a high note with a 6-3 exhibition win over the visiting Lady Sun Chiefs from Coastal Alabama Community College.

The Lady Tigers stormed to an 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles behind the strong service games and the powerful ground strokes of Anna Waller and Kitty Greenwalt.  Ksenia Vasilyev and Kathryn Risner produced the same 8-2 result with a strong net game and blistering shots from the baseline.

In singles, the fearsome foursome of Waller, Greenwalt, Vasilyev, and Risner rocketed to straight-set wins.

The Lady Tigers will return to the courts on Saturday, February 1 when they visit the Northeast Tennis Center in Meridian, MS, to play a doubleheader with Meridian Community College at 9:00 a.m. and Jones College at 2:00 p.m.
