Lady Tigers Fall to Lady Sun Chiefs, 6-3

Marion, AL—Karen Yan and Makenzie Ralston scored three points for the Lady Tigers in Monday afternoon's tennis match with the Lady Sun Chiefs of Coastal Alabama Community College, winning their two singles matches and teaming together to win their doubles match.

Yan and Ralston put up MMI's first point of the afternoon with their 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles. 

Yan defeated Tia Berry, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 1 singles, and Ralston, at No. 2 singles, posted a 6-4, 6-1 win over Margo Magee to tack on the last two MMI points of the day.

Madison Schmidt and Christina McAninley played well in defeat.  Schmidt lost, 6-4, 6-3, at No. 3 singles, while McAninley fell, 7-5, 6-3, at No. 5 singles.

The Lady Tigers travel to Alexander City to take on the Central Alabama Community College Lady Trojans on Wednesday, February 28.  The match has a scheduled start time of 2:30 p.m.
