Ralston Sweeps Consolation Matches, Goes 4-0

Meridian, MS—After suffering a first-round loss to Meridian Community College's Kennedy Rodiguez, 6-4, 6-3, MMI's Makenzie Ralston went on a rampage, tearing up the consolation field.  Ralston scored four match wins to win the consolation bracket of the 2017 ITA/Oracle Southern JUCO Regional Championships, which were held at the Northeast Tennis Center.

Ralston dispatched Lizbeth Jiminez (Hinds Community College), 8-0; Amberlee Miller (Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College), 8-2; Jenna Lyons (Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College), 8-5; and Rachel Sollie (Meridian Community College), 8-4.

The Lady Tigers continue fall play with a home match with the Meridian Community College Lady Eagles at the Paul B. Anderson Tennis Complex on Friday, October 20.  The match starts at 1:00 p.m.
