Lady Tigers Vanquish Lady Parsons, 8-1, in Women’s Tennis

Boaz, AL—The Lady Tigers struck quickly in doubles play on Tuesday afternoon at the Snead State Community College tennis courts, scoring a decisive 8-1 win.

The Lady Tigers collected three doubles points from the doubles duos of Paola Bou and Morgan Ingram at Flight No. 1, 8-1; Alana Larcombe and Bridget Mayfield at Flight No. 2, 8-2; and Makenzie Ralston and Jordan Berrios at Flight No. 3, 8-3.

The only blemishes on the day were Berrios' loss at No. 6 singles, when she had to retire from match play due to a foot injury, and Ralston's loss of a set in her three-set triumph at No. 5 singles, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2.

The remaining Lady Tigers in singles flights 1 through 4 scored the last four points of the afternoon:  Bou at No. 1 singles (6-1, 6-2), Larcombe at No. 2 singles (6-2, 6-0), Ingram at No. 3 singles (6-1, 6-0), and Mayfield at No. 4 singles (6-2, 6-1).

The Lady Tigers will continue their road trip on Wednesday, March 29.  They will play the Lady Trojans of Central Alabama Community College at 1:00 p.m. at the Cal Alison Tennis Complex in Alexander City.
