Lady Tigers Defeat East Central Community College, 9-0, in Women’s Tennis

Marion, AL—In Friday afternoon's women's tennis match, the Lady Tigers cruised to a 9-0 victory over the visiting Lady Warriors of East Central Community College, allowing only 11 games in nine matches.  It was an impressive performance by the Lady Tigers in their first outing of the spring season.

Paola Bou and Morgan Ingram, the Lady Tigers' No. 1 doubles tandem, set the tone for the afternoon by sprinting to a quick 8-0 decision over East Central's Tatiana Quinonez and Julia Johnston.  The Lady Tigers' No. 2 and No. 3 doubles teams quickly followed suit, with Bridget Mayfield and Makenzie Ralston locking down an 8-2 win and Rebecca Lin and Jordan Berrios securing an 8-1 win.

Bou, Mayfield, and Lin didn't surrender a game in their matches at the No. 1, No. 3, and No. 5 singles slots, respectively.

Ingram dropped one game in her match, Ralston yielded four games, and Berrios relinquished three games in their respective matches at singles flights 2, 4, and 6.

The Lady Tigers travel to Livingston, AL, on Saturday, Feb. 4 for a 10:00 a.m. match against the University of West Alabama.
