MMI’s Fedele Posts Singles and Doubles Wins for Lady Tigers in 7-2 Loss to Lady Eagles

Meridian, MS—MMI's Stella Fedele scored one singles point and one doubles point to avert a shutout by the Lady Eagles of Meridian Community College on Friday afternoon at the Northeast Park Tennis Center.

Fedele and Bridget Green defeated Meridian's Alden Hartley and Taylor Miller for MMI's lone doubles point.  Green delivered some clutch crosscourt shots in their decisive 8-3 win.

Fedele then went on to score MMI's sole singles win in two easy sets over Meridian's Paige Gibson, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 1 singles.

The Lady Tigers return home to the friendly confines of the Paul B. Anderson Tennis Complex for a Halloween match with Snead State Community College.  The match has a noon start time.
