Wrestlers Finish Fifth at NCWA National Tournament

Allen, TX. - In a field dominated by four-year colleges and universities, the Marion Military Institute wrestling team claimed fifth place at the NCWA National Tournament this past weekend.  With eleven wrestlers competing at this year's tournament, the Tigers were able to crown two All-Americans.  DeAndre Beck became a two-time All-American after finishing 8th in the 141-lb. weight class while teammate Michael Whalen finished 4th in the 165-lb. weight class.

The Coach of the Year Award went to the Marion Military head coaching pair of Jim Hazewinkel and Dave Hazewinkel.
