Itwamba took the lead back (3-4) in the top of the third inning after an error in Marion's outfield allowed extra runners to advance.  MMI started the bottom half of that inning with another hit by pitch but the runner was stranded, giving the visitors a one run advantage.

Sophomore Anna Claire relieved starting pitcher, Alex Reed, in the fourth inning and with two outs and the bases loaded, the Indians hit a double to deep right center field to score three more runs.  ICC led 7-3 going into the Lady Tigers' at-bat.  Morgan Gaither earned a walk with the bases loaded to add a run for Marion.  Madison Bubel singled in her next at-bat and Marion cut the lead to 7-5 after four innings.
