Lady Tigers Celebrate Two Wins on Sophomore Day

Marion, AL. The MMI Lady Tigers earned a doubleheader sweep yesterday at home as the sophomores played their last game at Soldier Field.  Marion defeated the Bevill State CC Bears 6-2 in game one and followed it up with a 4-2 win thanks in part to a walk-off homerun by freshman shortstop Morgan Gaither. 

Sophomore Bryndi-Alyn Ward earned a save in game one and a win in game two as she pitched a gem for the Lady Tigers in her final home debut.  The wins improve MMI's ACCC North record to 11-13; their overall record improves to 25-29.  

Marion travels to Boaz, Alabama today to face Snead State CC in another ACCC North doubleheader.
