Lady Tigers Start ACCC North Play

The Marion Military Institute softball team started ACCC North play last week during spring break and finished the week with a record of 3-3.  After dropping their first two games to Wallace State CC (0-4, 0-4) at home, they rebounded with a split at Shelton State CC.  Marion defeated the Lady Bucs 6-3 in game one before losing in extra innings, 5-6, in game two.  Friday afternoon saw The Lady Tigers earn their first conference doubleheader sweep with a 5-1 win in game one against Southern Union State CC.  They followed with a 9-0 win in game two.

MMI will travel this week for their next two ACCC North doubleheaders.  Tuesday they will play at Central Alabama CC and then Thursday at Bevill State CC.  Marion returns home next Tuesday when they host Snead State CC.
