Softball Sweeps Judson
Marion AL- The Lady Tigers (9-11) swept Judson College convincingly in a doubleheader yesterday, 15-2 and 13-1.
In game one, MMI pounded 14 hits and Kennedy Harrison knocked out a Grand Slam in the sixth inning to end the game in a 6-inning run rule. Ashley Holt went 3-for-3 with a double and four RBIs while Alisea Balderaz finished with three hits on four plate appearances with 1 RBI. Freshman Lindsey Savoie (4-3) got the win in the circle. She had a no hitter going through the 5th inning with two outs. She gave up two hits on two earned runs.
In game two, MMI's offense continued as they slugged another 14 hits. Ashley Holt led the offense again going 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI's. Alisea Balderaz went 3-for-3 and Kennedy Harrison went 2-for-2 with two RBI's. Bailey Connor hit a triple, while Hayden Short knocked out her 4th homerun of the season with three RBI's on one swing. Sophomore Lauren Camacho (3-2) picked up the win scattering six hits on one earned run with two strikeouts and a walk.
