MMI splits with Wallace Dothan on Road

Dothan, AL - In game one of a doubleheader on the road against Wallace Community College-Dothan, the Lady Tigers dropped a 6-0 decision.  Kadie Clark had the lone hit for MMI hitting a double in the centerfield gap.  Caitlynn Cooper struck out five (5) batters and gave up six (6) earned runs on seven (7) hits.

Game two saw MMI's offense explode for an 8-0 win.  The scoring spree started in the top of the 1st inning with Kadie Clark leading off with a triple.  Emily Tarango singled up the middle for one (1) RBI and Annelise Borg got an RBI by creating a Wallace Dothan error.  MMI scored a solo run in the 2nd inning and four more in the 5th inning.  Kadie Clark led the way going 4-for-4 with a triple, double and a single with one (1) RBI.  Angel Harrison went 2-for-4 and Kennedy Harrison hit a deep double to center field that scored two runners.  Lindsey Savoie pitched a two hit shut out and registered five (5) strikeouts and one (1) walk.
