Harrison Leads Lady Tigers to Victory over Judson

Marion, AL - The MMI softball team defeated the Judson College Lady Eagles 6-5 behind the bat of freshman Angel Harrison.  Harrison finished 2-for-4 from the plate with three (3) RBIs.  Ashley Holt hit a single to center field that scored two runs and Taylor Anderson hit a double that scored one runner.  Marion's defense made 4 errors in the game and let Judson take the lead late in the game. 

Starting pitcher Caitlynn Cooper gave up one (1) unearned run while scattering seven (7) hits with two (2) strikeoutsks and one (1) walk, working 6.2 innings of work.  Lindsey Savoie entered the circle in the bottom of the 6th inning registering one (1) out and four (4) earned runs before Cooper re-entered the game to stop the Judson offensive threat.

Marion will travel to Dothan, Alabama Friday for a 2:00 p.m. doubleheader against Wallace Community College and then to Montgomery, Alabama Saturday to face Huntingdon College (11:00 a.m.) and Talladega College (1:00 p.m.).
