Coach Basso Resigns as Head Softball Coach

Kristi Basso has resigned as the Head Softball Coach at Marion Military Institute and a search has already started to find her replacement.

"We wish Kristi the best of luck as she moves on from Marion," said MMI Athletic Director, Michelle Ivey.  "Obviously, she will be missed after spending the last three years here at MMI.  She served as the assistant coach for Joe Guthire for two years, working primarily with pitchers and catchers before moving into the head coaching spot this year.  I thought she did well this year, fighting through a number of injuries. She will always be considered a member of our athletic family here."
