On the women's side, freshman Amindy Mullen paced the Lady Tigers at John Hunt Park with a time of 24:13.79.  She was followed by Emilia Puszynski, Bridget Wheeless, Avery Griner and Kalliauna Powers.

Head coach Chad Balentine saw some improvement Saturday from both of his squads. "Our top three guys ran pretty solid races and did a better job managing, pacing and working together as a team.  It was great to see one of our freshman, Michael Welborn, PR as well," said Balentine.  "The women's team ran a more consistent race and continue to improve.  We are definitely making great strides this season.  We really appreciated all the support we had in Huntsville Saturday morning, especially our President, Colonel David Mollahan and his wife Ingrid who came to cheer on the teams."

Both the men's and women's teams will travel to Oxford, Alabama on Saturday, October 5th to compete in the 14th Annual Foothills Invitational at Chocolocco Park. The men's 8k race is scheduled to start at 8:00 a.m. with the women's 5k to begin at 9:00 a.m.
