Tigers Sweep Cardinals, 7-0, at the Paul B. Anderson Tennis Complex
Marion, AL—The Tigers defeated the visiting Cardinals of Gadsden State Community College on Saturday afternoon at the Paul B. Anderson Tennis Complex, winning two doubles matches and five singles matches (one by walkover).
In doubles play, Eddie Hunter and Dom Ingram dominated play in their 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles, and the newly formed team of Carson Johnson and Drake DelValle won their match at No. 2 doubles in a relatively routine fashion, 8-3.
Singles play saw another sweep by the Tigers as Eddie Hunter swarmed his opponent, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 1 singles; Dom Ingram prevailed 7-5, 6-4 at No. 2 singles; Carson Johnson rolled 6-3, 6-1 at No. 3 singles; Emmanuel Warner took three sets to take down his Cardinal foe, 6-4, 5-7, 6-1; and Drake DelValle won his match at No. 5 singles in a walkover.
