Marion Falls to Wallace State on the Road, 8-1
Hanceville, AL—The Marion Military Institute Tigers salvaged one match—No. 2 singles—in a match dominated from beginning to end by the Lions of Wallace State Community College-Hanceville. Wallace State, behind the play of All-American singles player Sebastian Arce of Colombia, dealt the Tigers an 8-1 defeat at the Wallace State Tennis Courts. The Tigers' Eddie Hunter prevented the Lions from sweeping with his brilliant come-from-behind 7-5, 6-3 straight-sets win. Trailing 5-2, Hunter reeled off five straight games to win the first set, 7-5, and then claimed the second, 6-3.
