Tigers Fall to Wallace State, 7-2, in Men’s Tennis

Gadsden, AL—The MMI Tigers got off to a poor start against Wallace State Community College-Hanceville in their Friday afternoon encounter, losing all three doubles matches by a combined 24-7 score.  In singles play, the Tigers didn't fare much better as they lost two singles matches in short order.  The Tigers clawed their way to wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 singles flights, with Joseph Tanjuatco (6-4, 6-4) and Eddie Hunter (6-4, 7-6) pulling out narrow straight-set wins.  Dom Ingram, at No. 3 singles, and Emmanuel Warner, at No. 6 singles, played the best tennis of their MMI careers in a pair of fine matches, losing, respectively, 6-4, 6-3 and 6-3, 6-3.
