Rain Ends Play with MMI Leading Coastal Alabama, 5-0, in Men’s Tennis

Bay Minette, AL—The MMI Tigers competed against two opponents on Wednesday afternoon at the Bay Minette Tennis Complex:  the Sun Chiefs of Coastal Alabama Community College-South and the weather.  With the Tigers up 5-0, rain wiped out the remaining four matches, with one match in progress that did not finish (DNF) and three matches that did not start (DNS).  The Tigers swept doubles play and won the only two singles matches played—Sean Dreher at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-1) and Joseph Tanjuatco at No. 3 singles (6-1, 6-2).  MMI's No. 3 doubles team of Dom Ingram and Austin Taylor, down 0-3, extricated themselves from that hole to win their match, 8-4, and complete the doubles sweep.  The coaches decided to finish play in Marion on Thursday, April 2, the date on which they play their second regularly scheduled match of the season.
