Tigers Bounce Back with Win Versus Gadsden State in Men’s Tennis

Gadsden, AL—Andrew Branicki and Joseph Tanjuatco secured the first doubles win for the Tigers with an easy 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles.  The Gadsden State Community College Cardinals were down but not out.  The Tigers had to mount comebacks in the other two doubles matches to sweep the doubles portion of the match.  Trailing 5-6, Dom Ingram and Austin Taylor clawed their way back to win three straight games and the match, 8-6.  Sean Dreher and Emmanuel Warner were on the brink of defeat in the tiebreaker but staved off a match point at 7-8.  They won the last three points in the tiebreaker to clinch the win, 9-8 (8).  Dreher clocked a doozy of a return at 9-8 in the tiebreaker to give MMI the two-point cushion of 10-8 to snatch victory from defeat.
