Tuscaloosa, AL—The Marion Military Institute Tigers jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in their Tuesday afternoon match at Stillman College due to walkover wins at the bottom two singles slots and the last doubles slot.  By the time the doubles matches were through, MMI had clinched the match, 5-0.  But the Tigers were not done scoring as they added four singles points to the final 9-0 score.

MMI's No. 1 doubles team of Harrison Foster and Andrew Wright put up MMI's first doubles point of the day with an 8-1 win over Stillman's Yonwaba Pupuma and Edward Symmonett.  The doubles action was fast and athletic with both teams displaying superb shot-making capabilities.

MMI's No. 2 doubles team also produced some outstanding tennis as Patrick Ryder and Xavier Bell surged to an 8-3 victory over Stillman's Fernando Garcia and Joan Sason.

Adam Bahney, Harrison Foster, Andrew Wright, and Shane McDonough swept the singles matches

The Tigers take to the road for a 1:00 p.m. match with the Meridian Community College Eagles on Friday, October 9 at the Northeast Park Tennis Center in Meridian, MS.
