Andrew Wright Appointed Captain of Men’s Tennis Team
Marion, AL—The Marion Military Institute men's tennis team has announced that Andrew Wright, a sophomore from Dallas, TX, has been appointed team captain.
A doubles specialist, Wright and his partner, Morgan Hale, won the 2014 USTA/ITA Regional Doubles Championship and the Alabama Community College Conference's First Flight Doubles Championship in 2015. Wright and Hale finished the season as the No. 23rd-ranked team in the ITA/JUCO national rankings while leading the Marion Military Institute Tigers to a 15th-place team finish. Wright also captured the ACCC's Third Flight Singles Championship in his spectacular freshman campaign.
"Andrew is a born leader," said head tennis coach Charles Wright. "He exudes confidence and poise, is a responsible and well-liked individual, and is someone that I place great trust and faith in. I think I can count on Andrew to be an exceptional team captain."
