Men’s Tennis Team Ends Fall Season on a Good Note

Marion, AL—The Tigers downed the Meridian Community College Eagles, 8-1, on Friday afternoon in their last match of the fall season.  The Tigers bookended their fall season with wins in their first and last matches over the Eagles.

The Tigers swept the Eagles in singles play.  Singles winners included Morgan Hale, Kaiser De Leon, Andrew Wright, Patrick Ryder, Ben Jandzinski, and Marty Birchmeier.  MMI's William Smith defeated Meridian's D'Quante Evans, 8-5, in an exhibition match.

The Tigers also captured two of the three doubles matches, winning at No. 1 doubles with Hale and Wright and at No. 2 doubles with De Leon and Philip Patton.

The Tigers return to the courts on Saturday, February 7, 2015, in an 11:00 a.m. home match to take on the University of Mobile Rams.
