Bio

Coach Timothy Rodgers was named Head Men's Basketball Coach before the 2019-20 season after serving as an assistant coach for two years. Prior to his time at MMI, Coach Rodgers served as an assistant coach at St. Andrews University.

Timothy graduated from Lowndes High School in Valdosta, Georgia and played his first two seasons at Jeff Davis Community College (Brewton, AL).  After a stellar JUCO career at JDCC, he earned a basketball scholarship to play at Elizabeth City State University in Elizabeth City, NC.  While at ECSU, Timothy earned all CIAA Academic Honors and lettered two years.  He transferred to UNC-Pembroke where he finished his Bachelors' Degree in Physical Education.

Timothy began his coaching career while enrolled at UNCP, coaching basketball at Red Springs High School.  He helped build a program that won over 100 games in four (4) years.  Red Springs advanced to two sectional finals and one regional final with Timothy at the helm.  After finishing his degree at UNCP he began teaching at the high school.  During his three years he coached football, track and field, softball, and basketball.
