Tigers Fight Back to Defeat Talladega College, 68-66

Marion, AL. – The MMI men's basketball team fell behind 6-20 the first eight minutes of their home game Saturday evening but was able to claw their way back to a 34-40 deficit at halftime.  The second half saw Marion outscore the Tornadoes of Talladega College by eight, securing their third straight victory, 68-66.

Nicholas Cham led MMI with 16 points.  He also dished out four assists with four steals.  Isaiah Green was the only other Tiger reaching double figures in scoring with 14 points.

Aidan Driggers gave Marion solid minutes off the bench, grabbing a team high nine rebounds; he also scored five points.  Other Tigers getting into the scoring column were Jahmar Brown (9), Johnathon Crawford (9), Dashley Estime (8), Julies Morris (3), Jamarion Ezell (3), and Tyrone Wright (1).

MMI will travel to Fulton, Mississippi Tuesday evening for a non-conference game against Itawamba Community College.  A 6:00 p.m. tip-off is scheduled.
