Tigers Drop First ACCC North Game to the Parsons

Marion, AL. - ACCC North play started last night with the MMI Tigers hosting the Parsons from Snead State Community College.  Both teams started slow after the long semester break and Marion kept the game close throughout the first half.  With SSCC taking an early lead, Mark Bradwell gave the Tigers their first lead (10-9) at the 12:30 mark; assisted by Jimmie Sanders.  The Parsons put together a small run and built a five-poinit lead before Javien Sewell connected for two points on a pass from Monte Wilkerson.  Snead was able to put together another small run before intermission and took a 38-31 lead at the break.

With Darius Dawson scoring on Marion's first possession in the second half, Snead quickly built their lead to double digits and cruised to the 80-59 victory.

Marion had three players score in double digits - Jimmie Sanders (15), Javien Sewell (10), and Mark Bradwell (10).

The Tigers will travel to Wadley, Alabama this Saturday for another ACCC North match-up with the Bisons of Southern Union State CC.  Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
