Basketball Loses on Road to Snead State

The MMI men's basketball team surrendered a seven-point half time lead to the Snead State CC Parsons, dropping consecutive games for the first time this season, 55-56.  The loss drops the Tigers to 14-3 overall, 2-2 in the ACCC North.

Treyvon Francis led MMI with 19 points, six rebounds and three assists.  Carlos Bell finished with 11 points.

Charles Tripp scored eight points with nine rebounds.  John Clayton finished with eight points while teammate Mikel Davis added four points and nine rebounds.  Rounding out the scoring for Marion was Tyquarious Arnold (3) and David Watkins (2).

The Tigers will host Wallace State Community College Monday, January 30, in another ACCC North match-up.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the William R. Ireland Athletic Center.
