Tigers Avenge Earlier Loss to LBW, Defeat Saints 80-48

The Marion Military Institute Tigers avenged their only loss this season defeating the Saints from Lurleen B. Wallace Community College Saturday afternoon, 80-48.  Marion held a 45-24 lead at halftime.

Quamauri Hardy led MMI with 20 points.  He dished out three assists and recorded four steals.  Mikel Davis recorded another double-double for the Tigers, now 10-1 on the season.  He grabbed 10 rebounds with 15 points. Antony Edwards rounded out the top scorers with 14 points.

Charles Tripp and Treyvon Francis each scored eight points.  Francis added four assists while Tripp grabbed nine rebounds. Justin Longstreet and Carlos Bell contributed with four points apiece.  Carey "Pate" Oakley added three points. Deshawn Roumou and Michael Nobles each scored two points.  Nobles also grabbed five rebounds in the victory.

Marion will travel to the Alabama Prep Sports Academy Monday evening for their last contest before the Christmas break.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
