Basketball Improves to 8-1

The Marion Military Institute men's basketball team improved their record to 8-1 after defeating Jeff Davis Community College 60-48.  MMI held a 33-18 halftime lead.

Sophomore Neiman Dunams led the Tigers with 14 points.  Quamauri Hardy, the Tiger's starting point guard, added 11 points with five rebounds, five steals, and five assists.  Antony Edwards finished with 10 points.

Rounding out the scoring for Marion: Treyvon Francis (7), Michael Nobles (6), Mikel Davis (4), Carlos Bell (4), and Charles Tripp (4).

The Tigers will host Bishop State Community College Monday, December 5, before heading into final exams.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.  Admission for this game will be one (1) canned/non-perishable food item.
