ACCC Postseason Awards Announced for Men's Basketball

The Alabama Community College Conference posted their postseason awards for men's basketball and the Marion Military Institute Tigers were well represented.

Sophomores Christian Bradford and Ronnie Baylark were named to the First Team All-North Division as well as First Team All-Region, as voted upon by the head coaches in the ACCC.

MMI's head Coach, Philip Stitt, was named the North Division Coach of the Year. Stitt was also presented with the Region XXII/ACCC Coach of the Year plaque after his team defeated Shelton State Community College in the ACCC Championship game.

The Tigers will depart Friday evening for Hutchinson, Kansas where they will face McLennan Community College in the first round of the NJCAA National Tournament.  Tip-off is scheduled for  6:30 p.m. Monday and can be seen on NJCAA TV (www.njcaa.org).
