MMI's Philip Stitt Birmingham Tip-Off Club Coach of the Year

Birmingham, AL. - Philip Stitt, MMI's head men's basketball coach, was named the Birmingham Tip Off Club's Glen Clem/Junior College Coach of the Year.  In his third year at the helm, Stitt has turned the Tiger program around, going from zero conference wins last year to a 9-3 conference record this year. With a 24-6 record, this year's team has broken the record for most wins in a season (21).

Coach Stitt was also named the North League Coach of the Year for the Alabama Community College Cnference as well as the Region XXII/ACCC Coach of the Year for winning the conference tournament.
