Men's Basketball Extends Win Streak to Twelve

Marion, AL. - The Marion Military Institute men's basketball team, under the guidance of head coach Philip Stitt, extended their win streak to twelve games after defeating the JV squad from Point University 69-51 in non-conference play. Marion is now 17-3 overall and 5-0 in the ACCC North.

Through twenty games, MMI is led by sophomores Christian Bradford and Ronnie Baylark.  Bradford currently leads the team in scoring with an 18.6 point per game average, followed closely by Baylark's 16.9 points per game.  The sophomore guard duo also owns the one-two spot in free throw shooting percentage for the conference; Baylark at 87.7% and Bradford at 84.2%. Freshman Quamauri Hardy is currently ranked 5th in the same category, at 77.2%.  Demopolis native Charles Tripp has grabbed a team high 88 rebounds for a 4.9 per game average.

The Tigers return to ACCC North play Monday evening when they host Shelton State Community College for a 7:00 p.m. tip.
