Tigers Bounce Back with Win at Home

Marion, AL – The MMI Tigers men's basketball team bounced back from Tuesday's loss at Jefferson Davis Community College with a 92-59 victory at home against the junior varsity team from Spring Hill College.

The lead changed hands between the home squad and the Badgers from Spring Hill early in the contest until the Tigers grabbed the lead for good at the 14 minute mark of the first half.

Miles Perdue was one of four players to finish scoring in double digits for Marion.  He finished with a team high 17 points in the lopsided victory. Joshua Ledbetter finished with 14 points and a team high seven rebounds.  Braxton Abrams scored 13 points and dished out four assists while teammate Malik Musgrove tallied 10 points.

Charles Steele, Jr., Ronnie Baylark, Jr., and Jamareo Duggan each scored eight points apiece.  Baylark also dished out seven assists and grabbed five rebounds in the victory.  Duggan finished with six rebounds.  Chase Garvin, Christian Bradford, and Anthony Pierre-Louis scored four points each while teammate Warren Reddick contributed two points. Garvin led the Tigers with four steals.

Marion, 7-7 on the year, will start ACCC North Conference play on the road next week.  Tuesday night the Tigers face Shelton State Community in Tuscaloosa and then travel to Hanceville on Thursday for a showdown with Wallace State Community College.  Both of these games are scheduled to tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
