Sanford and Strength Receive John C. Moore Award

The John C. Moore Award for Excellence in Athletics and Academics is presented annually to a female and male student-athlete that had excelled both in the classroom as well in their respective sport.

Our female recipient, Ashley Strength, graduated with a 3.16 GPA, and was a two-year starter for the Lady Tigers softball team playing both second and third base. Ashley finished second on the team in hitting this year with a .369 average

Our male recipient, Larry Sanford, Jr., graduated with a 3.058 GPA and was a two-year starter on the men's basketball team.  This year "Monte"was the team's leading scorer and 3^rd leading rebounder.  Monte signed a basketball scholarship with Faulkner University.
