Two Former Tigers Named Gulf Coast Conference Players of the Week

Former MMI baseball players, Taylor Clemmons and Logan Taylor, were recently named Gulf Coast Conference players of the week for their outstanding performance on the field.

Taylor Clemmons, a junior at the University of West Alabama was named POW on April 9, 2019 after leading the Tigers to a 3-1 record and a series win over the University of Alabama-Huntsville.  Clemmons batted .421, going 8-for-19 over the four game span.  He had three doubles and a homerun while driving in eight runs.  Taylor currently leads UWA with 33 RBI and is hitting .313.

Logan Taylor, a senior first baseman at the University of West Georgia, was named GSC Playerof the Week April 16, 2019 for his second time this spring.  Logan went 10-for-17 in five games for the Wolves for a batting average of .588.  He blasted three homeruns, scored eight runs and had 13 RBI during the week.  His OPS (on-base percentage plus slugging percentage) was 1.737.
