Tigers Claim Victory in First Two of Four Game Series with Bevill State

Marion, AL. - The Marion Military Institute Tigers claimed two wins Thursday afternoon against ACCC North foe, the Bevill State CC Bears.

Freshman Jarrett Carter earned the win in game one, working all nine innings and giving up just one run.  Marion took a 4-1 victory in that game.  Sophomore Jacob Phillips earned the win in game two, 5-3.  In five and two-thirds innings, he allowed no runs for the Tigers as they continue their fight for a playoff berth.

MMI improves to 10-12 in the ACCC North and 24-17 overall.  They travel to Fayette, Alabama today to finish the four game series against the Bears.
