Men's Tennis Team Accorded 2019 ITA All-Academic Team Honors; Six Players Announced as 2019 ITA Scholars-Athletes

Tempe, AZ--The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced its All-Academic Teams for 2019.  The ITA's sole criterion for inclusion on this select list is "a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale)."  Marion Military Institute's men's tennis team earned a final 3.48 GPA for both fall (2018) and spring (2019) semesters.

In addition, six Tiger players garnered Scholar-Athlete accolades.  To qualify for this honor, Scholar-Athletes must meet the following criteria:  1) be a varsity letter winner, 2) have a grade-point average of 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current school year, and 3) have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.  The following players achieved Scholar-Athlete status:  Linus McFarland, Justin Matthews, Thomas Chairs, Seth Harris, Dominique Ingram, and Vance Llewellyn.
